New Favorite Lip Gloss- Drugstore Damsel

Girls can go through lip gloss tubes pretty quickly, I wanted to find something cheap that girls can easily afford but still be comparable to a expensive brand. I think I have found it! I'm loving N.Y.C Liquid Lip Shines in Sungold Pink and Pink Sand. They are beautiful sheer coral pink colors that look great by themselves or layered over a lipstick!


Texture: Not sticky or gritty, very nice!

I love this lip glosses paired with MAC Angel lipstick and MAC Stripdown Lipliner. Or, the glosses with NARS Morocco Lipliner.

Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss

 
Milani Cosmetics introduced their 3D Glitzy Glamour Glosses this season and they are gorgous! They are so fun and sparkly, perfect for a night out.

This gloss is great on it's own (as shown on me) or on top of a lipstick.  It's not sticky at all, which is great and they last quite a while on my lips. Zoom in by clicking on the photo to see the pretty purple/pink sparkles!

Budget Makeup Tip!

Do you want to save and just buy one foundation instead of a tinted moisturizer and a foundation? Can't seem to find a tinted moisturizer in your skin color but you can find a foundation color? Well you can mix about a dab of foundation (a finger tip) with a nickel size amount of your favorite moisturizer (make sure it has spf) to instantly create a tinted moisturizer that perfectly matches your skin color. Just blend them together on you fingertips and apply to your face. Tinted moisturizer is a quick way to achieve a healthy tan or just to make your skin glow. Give it a try!

We recommend Olay Complete Moisturizer. It has sunblock, it doesn't' clog pores, it's oil free and it's cheap!

Drugstore Damsel: Basic Black

Basic black eyeliner is a must have in every girls make up kit. It never goes out of style and it is essential to create most makeup looks. Black eyeliner can be worn during the daytime or evening because it is so versatile. We've tested tons of eyeliners from high end to drugstore and we've come up with an eyeliner that is affordable and comparable to some high end brands. It doesn't smudge after it is set yet it is perfect to create a smokey eye. It has pretty good pigment so your eyes look perfectly defined. Revlon's Color Stay Eyeliner meets all of the above. This made in Italy (drugstore brand made in Italy!? Crazy!) mascara lasts through a whole day. It is amazing to define the outer V of your eyes because it stays put and doesn't crease. It is a self sharpening eyeliner (the sharpener is at the end of the tube, just pull it out and set it on top of the exposed eyeliner end then twist either the eyeliner or the sharpener to make a point). We really suggest this mascara if you are looking a inexpensive good quality eyeliner.

Drugstore Damsel..

Regular old drugstore Witch Hazel is one of our new favorite cheap products. For about 2 bucks you get a huge bottle that can be used as a toner. Witch Hazel calms the skin while disinfecting it. It clears up acne after repeated use, evens skin tone and keeps skin oil free. We suggest using it before bed after you have cleansed your face you can also use it after a sweaty workout at the gym to clean pores before they get clogged. It removes excess makeup and residue that your face wash might have missed. Just dab a cotton ball of it on your face and follow with moisturizer and/or acne medication.

CVS has been my best friend lately. I found a amazing nude lipstick that flatters almost everyone's skintone. L'oreal's Color Riche Lipstick's new celebrity line has a shade called Beige, it's a beautiful warm sheer nude that can be worn during the day and at night with a smokey eye. This lipstick shade is so easy to apply you don't even need a mirror. It really is a great shade for every skin tone, warm or cool. It doesn't even feel or look like a lipstick because the creamy texture moisturizes and provides a great shine like a lip balm. I own tons of high end lipsticks but this is my go to lipstick for every day wear! And it's less than 10 bucks!

Drugstore Damsel..

I wanted to find a eyeliner that is a rich black color and stays on all day long. Surprisingly while at CVS I found and bought L'oreal HIP cream eyeliner. It's a great true black that goes on creamy and lasts a long day (until you remove it) it's great for a day look and to accentuate a smokey eye for a night look. They come in other great colors too that I have to try because I love the black!


It comes with a little brush that is a bit hard but workable. It's angled perfectly to apply the liner and small enough so it's not clumsy. You can always use any other eyeliner brush because the product is really richly pigmented and great! Lets not forget pretty cheap (around $12).

UPDATE: This product dried out after a few weeks :( making it totally unusable.
