PUR Mineral Marble Powder

PUR Minerals is becoming one of my favorite brands. They're Mineral Marble Powders give the most natural glow with the perfect amount of color and it's enhanced with vitamin e and shea butter so it's not drying.

I have the color Spice, which is a gorgeous rosey red with light rose pink and terracotta colors swirled in. The color is build-able but pigmented. It's my favorite everyday blush and it's also perfect to do with heavy eye makeup or since it's summer, a bold lip.

This powder reminds me of the beauty powders from MAC but less shimmery and more color. PUR Minerals calls this powder the perfect shade for every skin tone! I absolutely agree.

Buy it at www.PurMineral.com for $25.

My Favorite Black Eyeliners

I LOVE black eyeliner. I am always on the search for the darkest black which usually means a kohl liner. I have a few that I reach for almost every day. I just wanted to share them because everyone is on the search for the darkest black shade.

My three favorites are (from top to bottom): Stila Kohl Liner Pencil, Guerlain Terracotta Loose Powder Kohl Liner, MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Engraved.

Stila: I was very annoyed with all my black eyeliners because none of them were dark enough. So I went to Sephora and asked the consultant for the blackest eyeliner they sold and she showed me this one. It's very soft so it's perfect for lining my waterline and upper lashline.  It can be smoked out with a smudger brush to create a quick smokey eye. It needs to be sharpened often because it's so soft but that's ok because the pigment is so dark.

Guerlain: This eye powder is the closest I have found to true Indian kohl that is available on mass market. This liner is great because I line my eyes in 2 seconds (great for mornings), I just slide it through my eye while it's closed and I'm done. It can't really be smoked out very much, but it's great for a perfectly lined eye. It's extremely dark and it makes my eyes pop.

MAC: This is my favorite mid priced liner. It's great for the beach or hot days because it's waterproof. It's not the darkest black out there, but it's pretty dark. I like it because it's a good simple eyeliner that stays put, has good pigment, is soft enough to apply on my waterline and can be applied as a regular liner around my eye as well.

So there they are. I love brown eyeliners too, I will have to pick my favorites for you guys!

Hair Products

Here are some products that make bad hair days go away for me:

Keratase Chroma Riche: This is one of my favorite shine serums. It's really light so it doesn't weigh down my hair but it smooths fly-aways. It also smells great!

Another one of my favorite products is Amla oil. I use it to condition my hair before I wash it and I use a little on the ends and through my hair to add a more shine after it's dry. I love the smell also.

New Small MAC Haul

Here are some of my newest MAC goodies. I felt the need for some colorful spring colors:

I bought Chic Couple a limited edition Mineralized Blush Duo and a MAC Viva Glam Lipstick in Cyndi.

It's a really pretty bronzy, gold and orange blush. It's so pretty! it looks great buffed on the top of cheekbones.

So everyone raves about Lady Gaga's pink Viva Glam lipstick, but they were sold out so the MAC artist showed me Cyndi, which she likes more. I love Cyndi too! It's a beautiful coral red color that is perfect for spring/summer. It's my new favorite shade because it brightens your whole face.

American Beauty Lip Gloss

 (without  flash)
(with flash)
When ever I go out for a long day or I want a lip gloss I can apply to my lips without a mirror I always reach for a soft rosey color because it's a subtle natural shade (so it's easy to apply). One of my favorite right now is American Beauty Lip Gloss in Iced Coco. It's a beautiful rosey nude color that looks amazing with any makeup look,  or no makeup at all. The gloss is very moisturizing and it makes my lips look soft and smooth with one swipe!

You can buy these glosses at your local Kohls or at www.americanbeautycosmetics.com for $12.20.

Hourglass Prodigy Hydrating Lip Gloss

Hourglass has a new lip gloss that is really moisturizing with great color shades for summer.  I have the shade Pulse which is a really pretty coraly pink with gold shimmer, great for the spring or summer! This gloss looks great alone or layered over a lipstick. The packaging is great to slip in your pocket as well. This lip gloss has no sulfates, phthalates, and it's fragrance-free.

They last a long time on your lips as well, through drinking and eating. Get them at Sephora or at www.hourglasscosmetics.com for $26. I'm am thinking about picking up the color Eden to layer over a pretty coral lipstick.

Beaute Weightless Lip Creme

Beaute Weightless Lip Creme is truely a lipstick in a tube. It has a full coverage pigment that is moisturizing and it feels like nothing on your lips! This Lip Cremes are perfect for summer because they have long lasting, very pigmented and moisturizing color. What I also love about this product is you don't need a lipliner! Just one swipe from the doe foot applicator and you have perfectly defined colored lips.  They have a beautiful selection of  vibrant colors that are great for upcoming spring and summer.

I have it in Girlina, a beautiful Barbie pink.

YSL Lipstick

I bought my first YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick the other day! I am so excited! It's the perfect summer coral color (Rose Paris) from YSL's spring collection. I can't wait to do a look with it for you guys!

(Color not shown)

Beaute Lipgloss Review

Beaute Cosmetics is a luxury brand that is very exclusive, I've never seen them in a store. They make the most amazing lip gloss ever- Luminous Volume Lip Glosses. They are extremely pigmented, very moisturizing, not sticky and they last on my lips for a long time (even through eating and drinking!). It comes with a brush applicator (which I like because doe foot applicators always change colors because they scrape off you lip stick).  I have the color Medusa which is perfect for a pink nude lip.

Here's what it looks like on my lips:

And here is it with my whole look:

I love this lip gloss to tone down bright lipsticks or do do a really quick nude lip, all you need is one swipe! This lipgloss is seriously the best lipgloss I own, it's so silky, applies to the lips easily and fills in any chapping or dry skin on my lips. Which is great because for I have to put lip balm on before  a lot of lip glosses, especially if they are a lighter color.

Another thing I love about this lip gloss is you get a lot in the tube, you can buy it at www.beaute-cosmetics.com for $26. I really suggest splurging on one of these!

PUR Mineral Foundation

I really like foundation powders because they are light, (since I don't have much to cover)  they keep oils at bay (which is great! I am so oily, espically in the summer).

PUR mineral makeup has become one of my favorite brands, it's up there with NARS and Chanel powders foundations. PUR is great because it's more budget friendly, blends seamlessly into the skin, lasts for the whole day, has SPF and keeps oils at bay.  I also love the compact the makeup comes in, it flips open to a mirror on the back side. I apply it by dusting it lightly on my forehead, nose area and buffing it into my cheeks lightly with my MAC Kabuki brush. I have it in my makeup bag all the time!

I like this foundation because it's photo friendly as well, and it doesn't oxidize or change color through out the day.

Price: $25

Loving LUSH- New Purchases

So LUSH is amazing. I bought a few things there that I thought were pretty cool.

I love spray on face toners. Breath Of Fresh Air takes mattes my shiny forehead and moisturizes my drier cheeks. I like this more than MAC Fix+ because it's all natural and it makes me looks fresh and glowy not oily-like MAC Fix+.  The spray is so refreshing, calming and cooling. It also sets your makeup just like MAC Fix+.

So I bought Aquamarina face wash. I haven't used it at home yet, but it calmed and cooled my skin when I used it in the store. It's kind of funny looking too.

I got a tester of Joy Of Jelly body wash. It's soo moisturizing, it lathers so well and it's fun to use! I love washing with it, I am going to have to buy the full size.

What I wore today and other email requests

So I have gotten some requests asking what I wear, since What's The Rage also does fashion posts along with makeup and beauty products. I guess they want to see if my sister and I practice what we preach hahaha. So here is what I wore today while I was out shopping. I picked up some really cool things too! (I'll post about them later)

Another request I had was what was in my makeup bag hahaha sooo here it is, it's not very impressive.

So we have: An antique compact mirror thing from my grandmother, Purrel wipes, Crabtree and Evelyn Rosewater Soap Leaves, NARS Turkish Delight Lipgloss, MAC Angel Lipstick, MAC Stripdown Lipiner, MAC Lip Brush, Crazylibellule And The Poppies stick perfume in Shanghaijava: Ananas Imperial, Revlon Travel Brush, PUR Mineral Powder (this stuff is great a review will be posted soon!), Chanel Chance body wash tester, pill case with Advil in it things not shown: random perfume sample from Sephora and random Italian cough drop.

I love my Revlon Travel Brush, I use it to lightly apply the PUR Mineral Powder. Look how cool it is!

It pushes out to a full size brush!

And this is my favorite lipstick combination that is in my makeup bag right now. Kim Kardashian's makeup artist uses it on her and I think it looks great on everyone! MAC Stripdown lipiner, MAC Angel Lipstick and NARS Turkish Delight lipgloss. It makes a perfect baby pink nude lip, I wear it all the time.

There you go! Keep the requests coming!

One Shadow Smokey Eye

Never have time in the morning to do a cool smokey eye look? In a rush to go out at night and want something glamorous but quick? Then the one shadow smokey eye look is perfect for you! My friend asked me today how to do a simple smokey eye look haha, so here is my answer. I went to MAC and picked up some pretty products and I also used some products I was sent to review to create this look. I then went to my mirror and perfected this look to be quick and easy.

I bought: Stripdown Lipliner, Club Eyeshadow, Angel Lipstick

All you need are 2 things for the eyes, a black eyeliner (I use a black MAC, any black eyeliner that's really dark will do) and Club Eyeshadow from MAC. Club Eyeshadow is amazing for this look because it has many colors that run through a single eyeshadow. It looks brown, green, silver, black on different parts of the eye depending on how you blend.  So this means you can get a highlighter, a dark crease shade and lid shade all in one!

So for the eyes I used:

 Club Eyeshadow!

and my Mac Brushes (217, 239)

Steps:
1. Pack Club Eyeshadow on lid with 239 brush
2. Buff into crease and outer corner with 217 brush
3. Line eye fully with MAC Engraved eyeliner (waterline too if you want)
4. Apply L'Oreal Voluminous and Cargo TexasLash Mascara
And... That's it, quick and easy!

To create baby pink nude lips I used:

Mac Angel Lipstick

Beaute Lipgloss in Medusa (A review will be posted of this soon! It's amazing!)

 MAC Lipliner in Stripdown
Steps:
1. Line lips with Stripdown Lipliner
2. Apply a few coats of Angel Lipstick
3. Apply Medusa Lipgloss

So for my face I used just a baby pink blush from American Beauty ( A review will be posted of this soon).

American Beauty Mineral Blush in Rose Quartz
Steps:
1. Buff blush into cheeks with Guerlain Mini Kabuki brush

There you go! Hope you guys like it!

Makeup Look

So I thought Cassie had a really cool makeup look, it's a little bit urban (lip liner showing through lip gloss hahaha) and still sleek I think it's perfect for going out. So I tried to do something similar.

(haha I can't look straight ahead when I am taking pictures of myself)

So for the lips I used a really light foundation by American Beauty to mute out my naturally pigmented lips (I got sent this foundation but it's too light, the texture is so silky and moisturizing that it's perfect to put on my lips as a primer). Then I applied Cocoa Rose Lip Liner by Elizabeth Arden and NARS Turkish Delight Lip gloss using a MAC Lip brush (I think it's 318 or 316... the numbers have rubbed off).

Here are the brushes: MAC Lip brush, Hourglass Kabuki Brush, Mac 182 Brush, Guerlain Mini Kabuki Brush, Sephora Slanted Eyelining Brush, MAC 239 Brush and Mac 217 Brush.

So for the eyes I used:

American Beauty Honey and Spice, Makeup Forever Black Matte Eyeshadow, MAC Sating Toupe, Guerlain Kohl Eye Liner Black, Chanel Black Liquid Eyeliner

American Beauty Honey and Spice

 MAC Satin Toupe
Eye makeup is complicated so I'll do it in steps:
1. Dust Gold Eyeshadow From Honey and Spice all over eyes using 217 brush keeping below the crease
2. Dust Satin Toupe all over eyes using 217(very lightly)
3. Apply Satin Toupe to the outer corner to the outer corner of eyes using 239 brush and into crease
4. Apply Chanel Black Liquid Eyeliner to lashline wing it out a bit
5. Use Sephora Eyelining brush to soften line with Black Makeup Forever Eyeshadow
6. Apply Guerlain Kohl Liner eastern method to line waterline
7. Apply L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara and Cargo's TexasLash to make lashes huge!

So for the face I used:

NARS Super Orgasm Blush, Chanel Bronzer in Terre Ambre, Face Highlighter in Dignity,  Face Creme Blush in Rio

I have a lot of kabuki brushes for different blushes, highlighters bronzers etc but you don't need to use all kabuki brushes, I just do.

So here are the steps:
1. Buff Rio on cheeks up cheekbones using Guerlain Kabuki Brush
2. Buff Highlighter on tops of cheekbones, down nose etc... using fingertips
3. Tap Super Orgasm on the apples of cheeks using MAC 187 brush
4. Brush Chanel Bronzer all over face using Hourglass Kabuki brush

Hope you guys like it! It's super easy actually and it looks really pretty I think!
