Light Eyeshadow featuring Milani Runway Eyes Eyeshadow

Light eyeshadow and liner can be really pretty and sultry. This look shows you don't need to always wear a dark liner to make your eyes pop. I did this with Milani Runway Eyes Eyeshadow in Beach Sand and a few other products to contour my eye and enhance the pretty golden sparkles of Milani's Runway Eyes. Buy Milani's Runway Eyes Eyeshadow at any drugstore or at www.Milanicosmetics.com. You really need it to complete the look. Thanks Milani!

Here are the products used (it seems like a lot but I used like 1 shadow from each pallet)

Above shadows left to right: Eyes By Design Hazel Eye Pallet, Milani Beach Sand, Chanel Eye Pallet.
Eyeliners Top to Bottom: MAC Mother Pearl Lip Liner, MAC Stubborn Brown Eyeliner
Mascaras Top to Bottom: Cargo TexasLash, Loreal Voluminous, Chanel Exceptionnel de Chanel (it got cut off a bit).

Tops of Shadow Compacts

I used Dawn and Dusk Chanel Compact (First shadow from left and last shawdow)

I used shade 1from Eyes By Design

Milani Runway Eyes Beach Sand- Sparkly light gold

Tools (top to bottom) Model In A Bottle Eyelash Curler, Mac 239, Mac 217, Sephora Angled Eyeliner Brush, random fluffy brush.

Ok this look is really simple! It just looks complicted, here are the steps:

1. Apply Milani's Beach Sand heavily all over eye with fluffy brush, keep the shadow under and in the crease (not on browbown! eek)
2. Apply EBD Shade 1 and Chanel's Dawn all over eye under and in the lightly in crease with 217 brush
3. Apply Chanel's Dusk on upper lashline to outer corner and drag lightly on lower lashline with 239 brush
4. Line lower lashline heavily with Mother Pearl lipliner
5. Wet Sephora Angled Brush and tap in Beach Sand and line lower lashline and waterline
6. Line inside the upper lashes with Stubborn Brown Eyeliner and lightly on outer corner
7. Curl Lashes with Model In A Bottle Eyelash Curler
8. Apply  L'Oreal Voluminous let dry slightly
9. 1 or 2 coats of Carbon's Texas Lash (makes lashes ginormous)
10. Apply 1 coat of Chanel Exceptionnel Mascara

This look is really pretty and light. I know MAC Mother Pearl Lipliner is discontinued but any light shimmery gold or peachy eyeliner or lipliner will do. Make sure to set the liner with Milani's Beach Sand to really make it golden and shimmery, this eyeshadow can be used wet or dry which makes it so versatile.
This look is great for girls who have smaller eyes because the light shadows and liners will really make your eyes look huge!

Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss

Milani Cosmetics introduced their 3D Glitzy Glamour Glosses this season and they are gorgous! They are so fun and sparkly, perfect for a night out.

This gloss is great on it's own (as shown on me) or on top of a lipstick.  It's not sticky at all, which is great and they last quite a while on my lips. Zoom in by clicking on the photo to see the pretty purple/pink sparkles!

The color shown is Starshine. Buy them at your local drugstore for $6.99 or at www.Milanicosmetics.com.

Thanks so much Milani!

Everyone can be a model, Model In A Bottle at least!

Model In A Bottle is a really adorable brand that makes some great innovative products. The products I have are Model In A Bottle Make Up Setting Spray Matte Finish, Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer, Super Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and their eyelash curler.

Setting Spray- ($18) This spray is great. I wore it on really rainy day while running around and my face was matte by the end. My blush stayed on perfectly as well, which is amazing. You can spray it on your face but I like to spray it on a brush and wipe it over my face because I can't see without my contacts in the morning to aim it hahah.

Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer- ($12) This product sets you eyebrows all day. If you have eyebrows that don't exactly stay put then this is great for you. It's clear and it dries really quick! I like to wipe a bit off and apply it to my eyebrows to keep the arch up.

Super Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
- ($14) My eyes are so sensitive so this eye makeup remover is great. It doesn't sting mye yes it has cucumber extract, aleo leaf juice, mugwort extract and algae extract in it. It is so cooling and refreshing on my eyelids!

Eyelash Curler
- ($9) This eyelash curler is so cute and small! I like that it can't get twisted in your makeup bag. The gel pad on it is so big and soft so it doesn't smash your lashes. It comes with a replacement pad as well.

All of these products are available at www.Modelinabottle.com!

Thanks Model In A Bottle!

Shiseido Haul

Ok... so I love Shiseido? Yes. I needed new face care products and I've been wanting to try Shiseido for a while. I love everything about the cosmetic side of their brand so I bet their face care products will be great. The brightening products are supposed to reduce the appearance of fine lines, surface roughness, visible spots and dullness. The Deep Cleansing Foam is supposed to "lift away pore clogging impurities, makeup and oil that can lead to imperfections". Late nights can lead to tired looking skin so I hope that these products will help me look wide eyed and bushy tailed!

Mascara Combination

Sometimes you can't get the right look with just one mascara, actually... most of the time. Using two or even three mascaras is perfectly normal. One for lengthening, one for volume and one for separating. I have bought so many mascaras but I've found a really good combo that I am loving right now. It gives me dark, glossy, huge lashes. What more could a girl want?

So to start I have been applying my NeuLash every night and my lashes have gotten stronger. I do not lose any when I am taking off my makeup and my eyelashes are looking great!

I first curled my lashes with this awesome eyelash curler by Model In A Bottle (I will review this soon!), then I applied L'Oreal's Voluminous Carbon Black and I swiped my lashes with a clean mascara brush to remove clumps and flare out my lashes. This mascara is great to create thickness.

Then I applied the best mascara I have ever found that gives me huge lashes: Cargo's TexasLash ( I did a review on that HERE). I swiped in on about three times because it never clumps.

These pictures were taken like five hours after I applied my mascara, no flakes no smears!

Hourglass No.7 Finishing Brush

I have been so busy that I haven't been able to do many product reviews this week sorry! One product I looove is the Hourglass No.7 Finishing Brush. It's the first brush I've had that actually doesn't shed at all, it doesn't have a weird smell and you can wash it so easily because the synthetic fibers are to the base tied 9 times so they are really secure! This brush is perfect for applying powder. I use it to apply Makeup Forever's finishing powder. This brush is like literally indestructible which is awesome because everyone is used to coddling their brushes. What I also like about this brush is that it's antibacterial so it will not cause breakouts if you don't have time to wash it often. I loved it so much I bought one for my mom as well.

Application: It applies powder very smoothly, powder doesn't' settle in pores and doesn't mess up the rest of your make up because the bristles are very very soft.

Price: It's kind of pricey ($65) but the brush has a warranty, it really is made with the best materials so it will last you a long time.

Where to buy: Sephora.com, Sephora Stores and www.Hourglasscosmetics.com.

How to: Nude Lips

So we've been getting requests for makeup How To's with pictures and products used. So this is our first! Nude lips basically complete a smokey eye. Here is one of my favorite combos!

Products used: MAC Spice Lipliner, Revlon Lipstick Soft Nude, Nars Turkish Delight Lip gloss.

How to: Line lips with Spice Lipliner. Apply Lipstick Soft Nude mulitple times, use a lip brush to finish with Nars Turkish Delight Lip gloss.

Here's Jenifer Lopez wearing something similar. It's a true statement nude so make sure to have strong eye make up.

Natural Beauty- Korres

Natural ingredients in beauty products have been all the rage lately. Korres Natural Products has a line of lip glosses called Cherry Full Color Lip Gloss that are paraben, mineral oil, silicone, propylene glycol and ethanolamine free. These gloses are so moisturizing they have replaced my lip balms! It definitely has something to do with the cherry oil and vitamin E and C in the lip glosses. The pigments also very true and bright ( a lot of organic products do not have the pigment pay off of other regular beauty products, but not Cherry Lip Glosses). I think these glosses are great by themselves or layered on top of lipsticks but as I said they are so pigmented you don't have to. I have the colors 33 Nude, 54 Fuchsia and 53 Red.

Nude (shown above) is like a perfect beigey nude that has flecks of gold in it. It really enhances natural lip color and contour, my lips looked really full and glossy.

Fuchsia (shown above) is like a fun bright lip gloss that is really hot pink with blue undertones, it's really pigmented! So it's like a shiny hot pink lipgloss.

Red (shown above) is like the only red lip gloss I can even wear it's such a beautiful color. It's like a tomatoey, yellow based red that makes your lips look a perfect just bitten shade.

You can buy them at www.Korresusa.com for $17 or your local Sephora. Also, Korres has offered a special promotion to Whats The Rage readers! You can get %25 off and a free mini Cherry Oil Lip Gloss with any $25 order till April 1st, just enter the code THERAGE at checkout.

(Pictures coming soon I just wanted to get the code up for you guys!)

Drugstore Damsel- Milani Cosmetics

Milani Cosmetics can sometimes be overlooked in your drugstore because of big names like Revlon, Covergirl, L'Oréal, etc, but Milani has great blush shade selection comparable to higher end brands like MAC. I can't say that many other drugstore brands can live up to high end cosmetics. The blush shade that we tried is Mai Tai.

Mai Tai is a vibrant pink coral color. It's much brighter than the shade in the picture. It creates a natural peachy glow on the apples of my cheeks. What I love about this blush is that it doesn't contain talc (a cheap filler) because it is part of Milani Minerals. Mai-Tai can be applied lightly for a sheer wash of color for fairer skin tones but it can be built up very easily for more color for deeper skin tones. It comes with a mirror as well as a cute compact with a little travel brush, which is convenient for touch ups. This blush's true color restored my faith in drugstore blushes. Mai Tai reminds me of a pinker version of MAC's Pinch Me blush but for the low price of $5.99.

Loving LUSH-Face

LUSH states that it's Enzymion facial moisturizer "is a light moisturizer to help oily skin look bright and shine-free." I have been using this product for the past few days and it is working very well, it deeply moisturizes my skin without oil. Enzymion is all organic and it smells great. It leaves the skin feeling soft and makeup applies flawlessly on top of this moisturizer. It does seem to have really steep price tag, ($35.99) for 1.5 oz, however you don't need to use a lot of it daily, just a dab or two. I've used it at night as well and my face was fresh and plump in the morning. Overall the Enzymion moisturizer is very good and I would definitely recommend it. I find that if I use it at night my skin stays matte during the day, it to calms my skin to reduce excess oil and shine during the day, I don't have to blot and I don't look greasy by the end of the day. This gentle moisturizer doesn't break me out, which is really important. Remember if you have oily skin it doesn't mean you shouldn't moisturize it, your skin could be oily because you aren't moisturizing it. This might lead to your skin producing more oil to make up for the lack of moisturizer.

Loving LUSH-Hair

LUSH has amazing products that are made with natural ingredients so you don't have to worry about weird chemicals being absorbed by your body. On the LUSH website you can look up the ingredient that's in your product and see what it is useful for, which is really cool.

LUSH makes a hair conditioner called Retread and it's absolutely amazing. It actually penetrates my hair to moisturize it from the core instead of sitting on top like many silicone based conditioners. After washing with a moisturizing shampoo I put in Retread in my hair. It doesn't really feel like it's a heavy moisturizer that glops through your hair like many drugstore brands. Retread is creamy and thick but it somehow quickly absorbs into my hair. Then I leave it in for about five minutes, wash it out with warm water and my hair is super soft from the inside out! It's not coated with a slick substance, the actual hair shaft is moisturized. It really is a "meal for your hair" (LUSH website) because your hair actually seems to eat or absorb all of the ingredients. I love the smell too it's like a sweet creamy melon smell. I agree with the website that this conditioner is only for really thick, dry and curly hair (it would definitely make thinner hair oily and limp).

You get a 8.4 Fl oz tub. My hair is thick, long and pretty dry and I needed about two or three small scoops so I don't think I will run out too quickly. You can purchase it at any LUSH store or at www.Lushusa.com for $22.35.

Just Stick It!

Crazylibellule and The Poppies' stick perfumes are absolutely adorable, beautiful smelling and convenient. These scents (or flavors they smell like delicious sweet treats) are divine. They are almost good enough to eat! Whats great about these perfumes is that they are made in France with no parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, GMO or triclosans so they aren't made out of sketchy chemicals that can hurt you. They also aren't made with alcohol so they melt into your skin when you apply them instead of evaporating. The best thing about these perfumes is that they are portable so you can throw them in your bag and always smell great. We have: Shanghaijava Ananas Imperial from the Shanghaijava Collection, Vanilla Lemon Pie, Vanilla Fruit Sorbet, Vanilla Sucre Glace- all from the Poule de Luxe collection. All of these perfumes we would consider in the gourmand category or maybe floral gourmand category and we love them all!

Shanghaijava is a intoxicating and refreshing pineaple citrus blend. It's really sweet but zingy at the same time. It includes musk that grounds the scent but it also is juxdeposed with the sweetness of grapefruit, peach, pineapple, lime and lemon. It smells innocent but mature fresh but aged all at the same time. (Shown below)

Vanilla Lemon Pie is good enough to eat. It smells like a lemon meringue pie with hints of sweet almond and silky caramel. It's perfect for the spring or even when you want to smell soft but sexy in the winter. (Shown below)

Vanilla Fruit Sorbet smells like a french berry tart. It has light notes of iris but the raspberry notes dominate the perfume making it tart, fresh and alluring. (Shown below)

Vanilla Sucre Glace is a sweet powdery scent that is warm and comforting. It has notes of vanillla, caramel mixed with sweet tangerine and balanced with musk. It smells fresh, cozy, sugary like a custard dessert. (Shown below)

All of the Crazylibellule and The Poppies perfumes are very unique they metamorphosis to get better as the day goes on, they last a long time as well. The scents are so interesting! We want to collect them all! You can buy them at www.Sephora.com for $18.

Is Everything Bigger in Texas?- Cargo TexasLash Mascara

Cargo TexasLash Mascara is simply amazing. If you want really long (reeeaaaaaallyyy long) lashes this mascara is the best bet. TexasLash is a tubing mascara so it surrounds your lashes in black tubes to create length and volume. It has a large brush (think Dior Show mascara) and a pretty thin formula but this makes it really easy to layer without clumps. We found the best way to apply this mascara is to layer on a base layer making sure to wiggle at the root of your lashes then let it dry (it dries really quickly). After that layer up more coats and you will literally watch your lashes grow and thicken before your eyes it's crazy. TexasLash removes easily in little tubes (so don't think it's your eyelashes falling out). What's great about this mascara is it doesn't flake, smear or smudge during the day and it doesn't smear under your eyes when you take it off because it comes off gently in solid pieces. We love this stuff. Go to www.Cargocosmetics.com to purchase for $20.

Valentines Day Look

Valentines day is coming up soon! Even if you don't have a significant other you can still get in the spirit. You don't have to have someone to love romantically, you can love yourself, your family or your friends. So here is a cute look to wear out for Valentines Day.

We suggest wearing pink and pink based colors (lavender or any sort of purple) to pull off a chic festive look without looking too overdone. Try something like this light pink metallic mini pencil skirt:

Kate Spade Bisous Glitter Tweed Julie Skirt, $228 (www.Katespade.com)

Pair with a cozy cashmere sweater:

Jcrew Cashmere Crewneck Tee $145 (www.Jcrew.com)

To add a bit of glamour and interest to the outfit we suggest a faux fur vest, which are all the rage this season.

Young Fabulous and Broke Faux Fur Vest $319 (www.Shopbop.com)

To tie the whole outfit together we suggest black tights because the top and skirt colors are so vibrant.

Spanx Tight-End Tights $26 (www.Spanx.com)

We love booties with this outfit, they offer an air of sophistication which balances the funky vest.

Christian Dior Serpent Booties $768 (www.Bluefly.com)

To add a bit of sparkle to the outfit try a chunky necklace.

J.Crew Bijoux Pear Necklace, $188 (www.Jcrew.com)

This is a great look because it's not the ordinary pink which keeps it festive but it's still cute for every other day of the year.

NeuLash

Hi guys! I started my NeuLash today!!! NeuLash is a eyelash growing product. Eyelash growing conditioners have been all the rage this past year, every brand has come out with some sort of lash conditioner or primer. I researched a ton of products and found that NeuLash is the best out there, so many people said it actually works. It costs $150 but you get around a three month supply which breaks down to about $1.67 a day (that's forgoing a snack from the vending machine a day or less than a cup of coffee).

I already have pretty long thick lashes but I noticed because of constantly wearing mascara my eyelashes have been dry and I think they have been falling out more frequently! NeuLash is great because it conditions, protects, promotes flexibility and nourishes the lashes along with helping them grow longer and thicker. Hopefully NeuLash will bring my lashes an even greater length and thickness. Results take up to 30 days so I will keep you all updated! Go to www.NeuLash.com to purchase it or to your local Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. Edyta Sliwinska and Anna Trebunskaya from Dancing With The Stars use NueLash and they both have gorgeous lashes.
